About the latest work "Continent of Slaughter"


I wanted to create a strategy game of the type of extending the territory. A storategy game in which multiple troops mix and crash into one territory …

You need soldiers to defeat the enemy.

You need resources to make soldiers. You need to expand your territory to get resources. As a result, both the enemy and the ally fight intensely for new territory.

Making good use of the less resources and gradually improve the situation. Or using large resources to overwhelm the enemy with excess troops. Or building an impregnable defensive position in preparation for the looming enemy forces.

Each country is not the same. It has its own land and people, and has its own culture and history. Therefore, the main classes and tactics, strategies, and soldier philosophy that it excels in differ. A small number of elite and accurately strike the weak points of the front. Or rake the rabble soldiers up and defeat enemies. Or fight with tenacity while avoiding the loss of soldiers. Or at the right time, put a lot of energy to win. Or constantly sends a small number of troops to reduce his enemy strength.

There are compatibility between classes, so a class that is strong against one opponent is weak against another. Even in the seemingly unfavorable situation, tactics can help you find victory. But tactics cannot reverse strategic inferiority. The one who wins the war is the only winner.

I wanted to make such a game. Thus, “Continent of Slaughter” was born.

These are what I wanted to play this game at the conceptual stage. Now I have completed a tentatively completed work, even though it is only one chapter. There are both what we couldn’t do and what we could, at the result. If anything, there were many things that could not be done. However, I think that I was able to make what I wanted in the core.

“I want to play this game.” This game started when I wanted to make the game I wanted. It is not due to marketing thinking that there is such demand. Disqualified as a merchant. But as a Doujin (amateur) creater, this is not always so. There are a lot of compromises, but certainly this is the closest game to the ideal game I wanted to play.

Now hearing such a story, if you are interested, please download it and play it. From a very early stage of the development, I thoght to allow players to play this game for free. I had been very worried, but I did so. In the trial version, it was possible to limit the extent of invasion, but I didn’t. If such restrictions were imposed, the game would be much less funny. The reduced fun doesn’t really mean “experience” the world of Genocide. I invite you, reading this sentence, to take part in this continental war.
